St. Patrick's Day

Today there ist the St. Patrick's Day, so i want to tell you some information about it. There are lots of parades with bagpipes and folklore. The people wear green clothes and believe in lucky charm.
The Irish have been consistently arriving in America. A consequence of this is that in many towns like New England, there are a lot of Irish people.

They are very traditional and have a beautiful song culture. One popular song is the Danny Boy, written by an English man who never visited Ireland. The song is about a farwell of a boy. A deep voice sings the song, it could be the father or the grandpa.

On this following picture you can see the Chicago River length of 156 miles that runs through the city of Chicago. It is popular for the St. Patrick's Day because of the green colour.
